Information Management Associates is a consultancy, training and research team formed in 1991.
The main IMA focus is on library and information service provision and particularly on evaluating the impact of these services.
Evaluating Service Impact: Training day in conjunction with Aspire2 – 28th November 2011:
A one-day workshop in central London for professional librarians, knowledge managers and information service providers. Information and booking – earlybird from 28th October.
IMA operates in the public sector and concentrates on education, health, social care and cultural heritage (again focussing on libraries and information services, as well as museums and archives services).
IMA has conducted consultancy and UK national research work for (inter alia) the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA), the British Library, the former Department for Children, Schools and Families, the National Health Service Executive, the National Foundation for Educational Research, the Universities’ Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC), the Research Information Network, the Department for Food and Rural Affairs and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
IMA is providing independent consultancy support on impact assessment for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Libraries Initiative. They have acted in a similar role for the International Federation of Library Associations, the Global Impact Study (jointly funded by the International Development Research Centre and the Gates Foundation), IREX and the United Nations Development Programme in Bulgaria.
